U-DA-MAN!

The 2007 U-DA-MAN Chinook Salmon Derby was held this weekend in Newport’s Yaquina Bay. Over 250 anglers and 98 boats fished from the Yaquina Bay Bridge to the Red Barn in Toledo on a sunny coastal day. Winners of the derby were Maureen Munson for Biggest Catch - 31.3 lbs, Cody Malloy for Second Biggest Catch - 24.6 lbs, and Kevin McCarthy for 3rd Biggest Catch - 23.4 lbs.

The U-DA-MAN Live Auction and Dinner was held Saturday night at the Rogue Ales World Headquarters and featured the unveiling of the 1st Annual U-DA-MAN Chinookie Ale 22oz bottle.

Record turnout for the Salmon Derby and generous auction purchases helped to raise over $25,000 for Chinook Salmon Enhancement, a program that supports the enhancement of salmon in the Yaquina Bay and Estuary. All profits from the sale of the U-DA-MAN bottle will be donated by Rogue to U-DA-MAN.
